WAPCAS champions inclusive healthcare, economic empowerment, and human rights for key and vulnerable populations across Ghana through evidence-based programs and community partnerships.

WAPCAS is a registered non-profit Civil Society Organization in Ghana, committed to improving the health, human rights, and economic empowerment of vulnerable populations. Since 1996, we have led innovative HIV and public health interventions, working across multiple districts with strong national and international partnerships.
WAPCAS strategically combats HIV/AIDS in Ghana by targeting vulnerable populations with comprehensive interventions informed by research. They actively shape national policies, build local capacity, and foster collaborations. Through robust monitoring and a commitment to the care continuum, WAPCAS strives for effective prevention, treatment, and empowerment within affected communities.
WAPCAS was the first CSO in Ghana to develop and implement comprehensive HIV and AIDS intervention programs specifically targeting vulnerable populations. This suggests a multi-faceted approach rather than a single intervention.
WAPCAS undertakes operational studies to understand the dynamics of the epidemic within vulnerable groups, such as their pioneering study on Male Vulnerable Populations. This research informs their programming.
